It's a small detail, but Garland actually isn't coming off his ELC, he's coming off of a 2 year contract he signed in 2019.

I sure hope Green opts to split PP time between the first and second unit more evenly this year. It would be nice if, perhaps, Millar was given the second unit to run, like he did while Petey was hurt last year. And vice him some legit offensive players like Garland and OEL, Hoglander etc. anything is better than Sutter, Virtanen, Myers (he wasn’t terrible on the PP) et al.

Good write on Garland. I had him two years ago in our HB fantasy pool. He puts up good numbers every game with shots ,hits and points. I think we are going to really enjoy this player.

Story coming shortly, but the NHL's COVID protocols for 2021-22 were sent out today. A key detail is a mechanism for suspensions to unvaccinated players who cannot participate in team activities -- on a per-day basis for as long as they are out. (There are some exceptions.)
